Code of Conduct

Edited: December 13th, 2025

Introduction

Growl aims to host a safe environment where all attendees are free to fully express themselves without fear of hate or shame. By attending Growl events, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct, which has been written to ensure that everyone is treated with dignity and respect within a safe communal setting.

If you witness or experience harassment or any other violation of the rules and expectations below, please immediately speak to a Growl staff member at the event, or contact us at growlsafety@tigerfoxproductions.com, so that we may privately intervene.

Dress

Our main Growl events provide a sex-positive and kink-friendly space where attendees are able to present and dress as their truest, sexiest, and/or fluffiest selves.

To that end, fursuit heads & partials, kink gear, pup hoods, and underwear are all allowed and encouraged—but not required! While bare chests and buttocks are permitted within venue spaces, exposure of genitalia (real or replica) is strictly prohibited. For your safety, please be mindful while wearing fursuits or gear in public areas outside of the venue.

Street clothes are also acceptable and perfectly fine, come dressed as comfortably as you’d like!

Our Growl Arcade events are less sex and kink focused. Genitalia, buttocks, and chests must be covered at all times.

Please take serious caution wearing full fursuits to our events. Most NYC venues have very limited space to maneuver in, change into, or cool off in full fursuit.

Clothing containing symbols or language that convey hate speech or discrimination are strictly prohibited. As are any items functioning-as or resembling weapons or firearms, including but not limited to props. Growl staff will make the final determination on what constitutes either of the above.

If you are not certain whether something will be allowed, please don't hesitate to contact staff in our Telegram group chat, or email us at growlsafety@tigerfoxproductions.com.

Interactions & Consent

The boundaries and wishes of Growl attendees must be respected at our events at all times. Costumes and kink gear are not an open invitation for physical contact. Always use your best judgement and ask for affirmed consent first.

Wristband policy

At our main events, we will be distributing color-coded glowstick wristbands you should use to communicate your openness to social and physical interaction. Attendees must abide by these rules:

Red

Wearing a red wristband indicates you have high boundaries for interaction and other attendees should keep to themselves unless you engage with them first.

If you see an attendee with a red wristband, leave them be and allow them to make the first move if they want to. Some of us just want to hang out and enjoy the music!

No wristband

If you choose not to wear a wristband, this means you are potentially open to social and physical interactions with other attendees, but anyone interested must ask you before engaging physically.

If you see an attendee and cannot see them wearing a wristband, you must always ask before engaging physically.

Green

Wearing a green wristband signals that you are open to physical interaction from other attendees with or without verbal contact first. This option is for people who are comfortable being touched, danced on, or otherwise engaged with by friends and strangers.

The rules of consent still apply! If you are a green wristband wearer, you always have the power to say “no” to somebody you aren’t interested in engaging with.

If you’re looking to interact with an attendee wearing a green wristband, and they tell you “no” or indicate through body language that they do not want your attention, you must comply. Please don’t take it personally, we all have different tastes!

Decorum

To ensure an engaging and fun night for all, any action that impedes the ability of others to a comfortable and safe environment will not be tolerated. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Any act that could lead to physical or emotional harm to another attendee, including but not limited to hate speech and discrimination.
  • A violation of information communicated based on the wristband policy described above.
  • Any other violation described elsewhere in this document.

Growl staff will make the final determination on what constitutes any of the above.

It is also crucial to remember that we are guests in our chosen venues. All attendees are expected to adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by the venue. In addition, the following will not be tolerated:

  • Attempting to attend while under the age of 21.
  • Bringing outside alcohol.
  • Bringing uncontrolled/illicit substances and/or paraphernalia.
  • Impersonation of a Growl or venue staff member.
  • Damage or theft of attendee, staff, or venue property.
  • Disruption of event or venue operations.

We ask that you please leave all personal disagreements at home. Growl events are not a forum for interpersonal disputes. Growl or venue staff may ask you to leave if you cause a scene that disrupts our guests.

Drug Overdose Prevention & Response

Growl does not condone the use of uncontrolled and illicit substances.

However, if you attend Growl or similar events, we recommend you carry a Naloxone (Narcan) kit and receive online Overdose Prevention & Response training from the NYC Department of Health. Both of which are available for free through the Department of Health website.

If you have a Naloxone (Narcan) kit and you see an individual who is unresponsive and you believe they may be experiencing a drug overdose, please immediately administer it in the manner you were trained. Then, please seek out or have somebody seek out a Growl or venue staff member as soon as possible.

If you do not have a Naloxone (Narcan) kit and see an individual who is unresponsive and you believe they may be experiencing a drug overdose, please immediately seek out a Growl or venue staff member. Growl staff possess and are trained to administer Naloxone.

Photo & Video Recording

Personal mobile phones, compact cameras, and SLR/mirrorless photo cameras are permitted for casual use, provided that the photography is done respectfully and with the consent of all subjects appearing in your photos. Mounted flashes may be used sparingly, if it isn’t disruptive to the experience of other attendees.

Growl reserves the right to ask you to stop recording photos and videos at any time, for any reason, with or without reason.

Professional video cameras, boom microphones, tripods, light stands, and any other professional video recording equipment are prohibited without prior approval from Growl staff.

At some events, Growl offers a Growl Photobooth that attendees may freely participate in. Participating attendees are expected to be aware of and abide by the Growl Photobooth Terms of Service, in addition to this Code of Conduct.

Growl staff may take photos/videos at the event for purposes of promotion of the event and/or portfolio materials for our DJs. If you appear in any of our promotional materials and wish to be removed, please contact us at growl@tigerfoxproductions.com.

Media & Press

Any members of the press or media wishing to cover Growl events must seek prior approval. Please contact us in advance at growl@tigerfoxproductions.com to inquire. Media/press credentials and guidelines will be provided to approved parties who will be clearly identifiable during the event.

Attendees are prohibited from speaking with media or press representatives that do not have prior approval. If approached by an unauthorized media or press representative, walk away and immediately seek out a Growl staff member.

Incident Reporting

If you witness or experience harassment, any other violation of the rules and expectations above, or any other serious concerns, please immediately speak to a Growl staff member at the event, or contact us at growlsafety@tigerfoxproductions.com, so that we may privately intervene.

Please note that incidents occurring outside of our events are often out of our hands, unless someone poses a serious risk to the wellbeing of our attendees. Any reports of incidents occurring outside of our events must come with substantial proof. We will not act on hearsay, rumor, or personal disagreements that do not constitute a safety risk.

Growl respects the privacy of its attendees and community, and does not publicly share information regarding incidents and reports.
